Singing at the Polls are election day events at which Singing Resistance members will create a loving and protective presence at polling sites in our communities. We will act as democracy observers, being prepared to report if bad actors show up at our polling location and try to intimidate us and our neighbors. Our songs can help people stay in long lines, and our songs can celebrate our neighbors for voting! In a year this big, we’ll all need to be eyes and ears to shine a light on attempts to undermine our vote.
In this training we will dig into the details of how to successfully organize a Singing at the Polls event, and we’ll share important Know Your Rights information for actions near polling locations.
